regarding kin altruism

I was thinking, that if homosexuals/MAAs had their sexuality influenced by genes which made their behavior functional for society, wouldn't asexuality be more efficient, since they wouldn't have any sexual relationships, and thus more time to devote to helping their siblings/neices/nephews?
