The real difference between pro-contact and non-contact refers to what each regards as ideal or perfect worlds, where being a GLer is not stigmatised. In such a world, the questions become: 1) whether in such world contact should be allowed / legal (which basically implies the question if the child is able to give meaningful consent or not), and 2) whether they would engage in it themselves if it were legal. The answer to question 2 is a completely personal choice that does not necessarily engage the political views of the person who holds it: it is whether they are pro-contact or non-contact for themselves, not anyone else kid or adult. The answer to question 1 is the ideological / political / ethical position one takes: whether contact would still be wrong if law and society changed, or not. That is what makes a pro-contact or non-contact as a political position. To make an analogy; if we were talking about gay rights, question 1 is whether you think gay sex should be legal or not; question 2 is whether you would have it if it were.
Now, there are also people who are pro-contact in the here and now, which is I believe what you are addressing. First of all, they cannot post that here on GC, as saying that every paedo should go and to bed with their lgf's tonight is advocacy of illegal activity. Then, to admit that they do or did sometime is just that: admission of illegal activity, and unless they have been already tried for that offence, they also cannot post that here. So, at any given moment, no poster on GC is pro-contact in the present; and if they are, they haven't stated it; and if they have stated it, they are in the process of being banned.
For all this, I am pro-contact as an ideological position for a better world, but in the here and now I am firmly anti-contact...
