before i go jumping all over what you've said, i first want to say that i totally respect where you're coming from - it's just that, well...

maybe it's just canada, or that i grew up in south africa, but i don't think so - like, yeah, ok - teachers and parents can often be as lame as you say, and shit - they can be as lame as they wanna be, but unless the kid in question has somehow been totally isolated from his or her peers, so what?

you remember getting punished for correcting teachers in class, right? so can i ask what harm that did you? did you buy the punishment, or just write the teacher off as a lost cause, and carry on? did you lose friends over it, or were they all in the same boat as you anyway?

i agree with you, but i'd like to suggest that most kids aren't buying it anyway, and the adults in question aren't doing themselves any favours by acting like such retards - in fact they're doing us a favour.

all i think we need to do is listen, and be right, and while you're doing that, ask around...

i think you'll find that we're winning.
