It's socially acceptable and common to accept us. We accept ourselves because we know what it's like to feel these feelings, but they do not. Most people who aren't homosexual, didn't accept homosexuality until acceptance of homosexuality became so common that not accepting it caused you to be considered a homophobe which is almost as bad as being labeled a racist. When your average non has to worry about being labeled a pedophobe then you will see a change of attitude. But it's a 3 step process. First we accept ourselves. Second, nons who are non-conformist and open minded accept us. Third, the mainstream accepts us because the non-conformists and open minded people who tend to be artists who influence mainstream people thru the media get the message across that it's ok to be a pedophile and that pedophiles are people too. That's usually how it goes with other groups of people, so I expect the same for us. Maybe I could've worded it better, but I hope you get my point.
