By all means, Absolute Nothing is a good idea, because at least it puts our side of the story out there somewhere. But it is a fallback position...

Nope.

...as an action, it is legitimate in and of itself as it would be without AZU.

we now have to play in our own sandbox since we can't play in theirs.

Also not true; we can jam their capacity for moderation with ease.

...boring waste of entertainment - but the capacity to play in their sandbox all we want is avaliable, and will continue to be so for quite some time.

All I'm saying is, we'll be locked into a perpetual stalemate on Blogspot.

Nope. ;)

They'd put themselves at a loss without factoring a single thing we've done. Poor tactical sense, poor construction, attacks on innocent bystanders, poor writing skills, a need to bury the facts, being openly notable in outright deception, poor reasoning skills, and much, much more ensures that they put themselves at a loss, opting out of "stalemate," without us.

...by comparison, our only embarassment has been Winston's post on HellPig.. an embarassment somewhat offset by, well, HellPig himself.

We can't change these people's minds...

...who said anything about the people doing our advertising and recruitment? Nah, no one cares about trying to alter AZU, and if we did, history teaches that "This is where your family lives, we don't care what you believe but leave people the fuck alone" is a far better approach.

Nah. There's still a lot of people far more interested in finding out than being told... and that's a good thing.

...but we can change the world around them until their bigotted opinions don't matter anymore. That's not going to happen on Blogspot.

Don't be so sure. Media is good. ;)

...besides, it's worked really, really well on every other format. :p

We can afford to lose this particular battle.

'n here's the fun thing...

We can, yes. In fact, we'd still have a gain from this alone if we cede, ignore, and withdraw...

...but why? We need our voices heard among the many - why not today, instead of tomorrow?

...it doesn't have anything particularly to do with AZU. They're just a stimulus that moved us forward on the path we would have taken nonetheless.
