I was with my children at a playground today, and who do I find there - the LG who hugged my legs earlier this month. She had a birthday, so he is actually 5-years-old now. She soon asks me to help her do some stuff on the climbing equipment that she cannot do on her own. So I end up helping her (and also my daughter) get on and off the high spots, climb ladders; hang from the high bars, etc. When she hangs from the bars I get a nice eye-level view of her exposed flat stomach and cute little belly button. I am on good terms with her parents, so her mom does not mind at all that I am lifting her and carrying her.

At one point I notice that something just slipped out of her pocket. She does not notice it, so I pick it up and give it to her. As soon as I show the item to her and tell her it fell out of her pocket she quietly says, "Oh shit". I immediately break into a smile, so she then smiles and says even more quietly, "ohhh, I said a bad word". I told her, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone". She pockets the item and we all go back to playing.

Later as we are leaving and saying goodbye, I get down on one knee so that I am at almost at the same level as her. (I was prepared this time!) She says goodbye to my children, then turns to me and delivers a real, proper, two-arms-around-me hug! I put one arm around her (that is all it takes, since she is a waif) and rested my chin on the top of her head for a few wonderful seconds. What an awesome way to finish the day.
