Before Valentine's Day I was waiting my turn at a cafe. Ahead of me was a Mother with a 11 yr old son and a 7yr old daughter.

The girl was examining some pre-wrapped frosted heart shaped cookies that were at the counter as an impulse item.

Her mother asked her in a friendly tone not to FONDLE them; the cookies that is. She asked the girl if she understood what "fondle" meant. She said that was "touching them rather than looking."

Overall it was a friendly admonishing. And the LG was smiling over her shoulder at her Mom; and hence in my general direction. But I couldn't help but being envious of those cookies recieving a fondling from such a cute girl.

PS. This was the same day I found out that Judith Levine's "Harmful to Minors" was part of the local state college's Human Sexuality curriculum :)
