I wish more schools had this book in their libraries. BTW, I'm glad that LG's mother didn't think it amiss to use the word fondle with her daughter. You'd be amazed how many people think that fondle has overt sexual connotations and would never use the word in relation to a young girl. Also seems like a pretty open and loving mother/daughter relationship from what little there was to see. Very nice.
