Yeah but...

I don't really like the idea of having to by all hiding and reserved and you'd have to be in that sort of field. Plus, as good as being an educator is it's not something I feel qualified to do quite yet. My favourite teachers in school were these guys who used to do something and then became a teacher. So I'm going to work in the sciences first, then maybe once I feel it's going along well think about that.

I guess the main thing I'm worried about is that anything I might do could be some sort of subconcious 'excuse' to get near like you said, and that wouldn't be fair, and kind of pathetic, so it's another reason to avoid it. Possibly if that concept clears up later it could be considered.

The thing is, having a presence on the net, what with all the activists, odds are if you actually did get a job like that you wouldn't be able to do it properly due to hounding. I know some person on here said they were a teacher but that's different since they probably use a unique name for annabelleigh/GL activities, whereas that would be too confusing for me, multiple identities, so I use the same for all, and there's no privacy there.

Even though you said that about teachers, I have to wonder, because even though they seem to get along easily, we never really see everything a teacher has to deal with. I have a feeling the life they lead is actually more difficult than it appears, dealing with various complaints, parents, legal issues, etc. Especially with the controversial changing times. Plus, not many of them are (or are conscious of being) childlovers so we can't really know the unique strains or risks associated with that.
