Perhaps I have read too many accounts of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, but attractive children are more likely to be the subject of abuse and for this to result in being withdrawn and less desire to care for themselves, let alone that her abuser might also be less likely to care for her. I mentioned the abuse since no one here entertained the idea, I wonder why? No possibility?
