I'm through with being paranoid, it does no good, if a parent says something to me, I tell them THEY are being paranoid, I turn the tables on them. It's rare that a parent says anything though, I've only had 2 parents confront me, one was a Dad who had a 10 yr old daughter who was smiling at me, I smiled back, and then Dad sees me and says "Do you know my daughter?" I told him no, and then he said "Then why are you smiling at her?" and I told him because she smiled at me. He then said something like "Well, you should know someone before smiling at them" or something like that, I told him that he was being a little paranoid. Another was a Mother at a Wal-Mart, 7 yr old girl who smiled at me, I smiled back, and the Mother told me not to look at her daughter or she was going to call the cops. I asked her what for? She didn't have an answer and said "Your being a little paranoid aren't you?" and she said something like her best friend was taken when she was a little girl by a guy who smiled at her. I thought she shared too much information, but OK.

Anyway, I'm done with being paranoid like I said, it does no good, and I really like smiling at children, 9 times out of 10, it usually starts a good conversation up with them. I usually ask how old they are, and what their names are. It usually turns out real good.
