Hi Diss:)

I think the thing with kids of that very young age is that they haven't yet learned any inhibitions - they're naturally curious about pretty much everything, and some things (and some people) might pique their interest... it could be for something that's not really very obvious at all! Because everything is new to them. In one of the classes I've been teaching recently, one of the kids has a little sister who is around two years old, and she comes into the classroom in the mornings before school starts... just to have a look around. I've often been amused by the way she just keeps looking at me! I know what you mean about 'intense'! The other week, I tried making friends with her - then she spent the next ten minutes bringing every item in the classroom that she could lay her hands on and plonking it down in front of me - crayons, pens, everything! She's a real little cutie... I suppose because life is so new and exciting, then every single second is somehow fascinating; with that kind of mental energy expension it's no wonder they get tired so quick!

'Toddler mindset' - that's just it, though: their mind isn't set at all - constantly shifting and developing...

They're great fun!:)
