I've never known a 9 year old with a good taste in literature (unless you include movies). Then again, I don't know any adults with a good taste in literature either. :P

I'm not doubting your story. Sounds like you had a good time. I think it's cool she's your new penpal. When she writes to you, well if she writes, just write her back and end the letter letting her know you anxiously await her reply. My only advice: don't send nude photos of yourself unless she ask for them. Just kidding. Don't send them period.

P.S - the note to the antis was unnecessary. Don't you love to scare them by allowing their own fearful minds to contemplate what we mean? I know I do. :)
