Wow, what a great day for you! And I would say it was the same for the girl. Imagine, she spent time with someone who actually cares and listens. Why does the rest of the world not realize how much children need adults? Whether it is a parent or a friend, such as you, children need adults in their lives. Yet so many times adults go on with their own busy lives, selfishly tending to grownup things, ignoring/forgetting that there are young people who need them.

I like your statement: "Its not as bad it could be, I've heard much worse, but its bad enough to her and that's where it counts." How true! Every child is unique in how life affects them. Their perspective of whatever pain they are experiencing is: "I hurt! Please Love it better!"
