If he approached her knowing that she speaks the language, then he knew her and her reply was justifiable. True, if older she would have been labeled a bitch, sadly, by some, yet we do not know what was said. Maybe she knew him and knew that he was hitting on her, and did not want to be bothered. Who knows? We do not have enough facts to render an informed judgment.

If he approached her and did not know that she speaks the language, then he is being presumptuous, and his come-uppance was deserved, regardless of her age.

In any case, those who said it was racism on her part, or the part of the poster, are being absurd. Language-ism, maybe, but racism? NO.

As for her being rude, if we don't know any more than what we have been told so far, assuming rudeness on her part is unmerited.
