People still assume all Mexicans are hispanic or non-white.
I've met plenty of Mexicans and almost all of them were white... I guess in Mexico it's as racially divided as it is in Americans, with darker skinned mexicans tending to be more poor and the white ones even hire them pretty often as live-in servants.
If someone with a bit more knowledge of Mexico (I've never been there just met and spoken with some) wants to confirm/deny this please do.
