YOU are the racist ones, since you assume that only people of Latin blood can speak Spanish; the co-worker could have been as white as the snow.

You are also ageist, to assume that a child can only speak one language. It is this ageism which deludes you into thinking that her reply was predicated upon the remark being in Spanish, without giving her enough credit to reply to what was said instead of the language used to say it.

You are also ridiculous in the extreme, and really need to rid your minds of the Politically Correct virus which has infected them.

That post had more absurd replies than any in recent memory.
