I agree that nobody, from any linguistic origin, should move to the USA and refuse to learn American English before or, at worst, right after arriving.


(Strangely enough, and you must be acutely aware of this, this demand is present in every important migrant-receiving country and yet the USA is the only where a significant number views it as racist or quasi-racist)


I only disagree that anyone has to stop speaking any other language they speak when they move to the USA or hide that fact from everyone else.
