I'm sorry but if my job tried doing this to me i would probably quit, yes when its time to be departed from them its going to hurt a lot but It is well worth the pain.
Plus it gives me something to look forward to when i return (in a "couple" months i will come back here-as soon as i finish my task i can return).
"I know what you mean about trying to follow the rules. It can be very tricky sometimes to know what is allowable because some parents have pretty strange rules about what their children are allowed (or not allowed) to do!"
Believe me i know all about that, i know most of the rules (there are some really strange ones) that either A) the parents told me B) i found out on my own (usually after seeing the kid get in trouble for breaking a rule i wasent aware of) or C) the kids told me it (this is pretty rare).
One time the kids wanted to play church (in the play area-despite the fact that we just finished church) and so i suggested that one of the girls be the preacher should of seen the weird looks i got (apparently thats a no-no they (the boys and the girls) quickly pointed out that females cant be preachers; this confused me so i asked why, they responded that the bible says so.....oops.
And yes i have grown to care for these kids so very much and while i know the chances of someone coming and hurting these kids is pretty slim i cant help but worry anyways thats just who i am.
Knowing i will have to leave soon (to be fair i even told them in the beginning that i would be leaving in the future (i gave them dates) but that i would also be coming back) makes me cherish the time i have with these kids even more.
Like i said i've already had one LG tell me she loved me (there were so many other people around that i wasent sure what to say so i said nothing-i really wanted to tell her i loved her to) and one girl M (sadly everyone has favorites and out of everyone this one is one of my favs) ask me who the prettiest girl in the church was, if another adult hadn't come over and sat down next to us i would of told her the truth that she is the prettiest girl in the whole world (pure truth); i talked with her sister after that and she told me that M had been hoping i would say she was the prettiest girl (so cute) but im hoping to get put into the position where i can trully tell them how much i care about them before i have to leave but i don't know how to do this without upsetting any parents, any suggestions?
