Hey, welcome back! I hope that you are back for a long time. You are one of my favorite posters on this board, and I always look forward to your contributions. Your charming comments and sigpics always cheer me up (haha, partially because I sort of fell in love with Su when watching Love Hina). So, even if you are really really busy, know that youÂre missed when your gone.
What...You donÂt even know who I am... (x_x)Â
Well...you have been gone the entire time I have been posting...so, I guess you are forgiven. Check out my ⛓️💥[Removed] if you feel like catching up.
Both of the GMs you shared here were great. I know how it can be, trying to shake the little boys. I had a similar situation once, when I was babysitting a LG and her little brother (age 8 and 5). The LG was sort of skinny, had blonde, shoulder-length hair, and was a bit small for an 8 year old.
I was staying with them until late at night, so it was my job to make sure they got to bed and everything. I had them pick out a couple movies in order to get them sleepy so they didnÂt fight their prescribed bedtime. For the first movie, I sat on one end of the couch, and the LG snuggled up next to me. Her brother sat on the other end of the couch. The movie was Dreamer which, though I had seen it before, was really cute. With the cute movie and the adorable little girl next to me, I was on Cloud Nine during the whole experience. It is one of those times I still fondly look back on.
Between movies, we all got up, used the restroom, and got drinks. The second movie they picked was My Neighbor Totoro (this choice was influenced quite a bit by my urging). ItÂs definitely not as well known here as Dreamer, but I am sure some of the Hayao Miyazaki fans on this board really like the movie. I put the DVD in and took my place on the couch. At this point, the LB comes and snuggles next to me. Now, at 5 years old, he was still a cute kid, but, as I am sure you can understand, my affections toward him were completely different than those for his sister. The LG comes back and says Âhey, thatÂs my spot!Â. At that point I was half-willing to say, Âyeah, thatÂs her spot!Â, but the responsible babysitter in me had to step up and take charge. I said that she got to sit next to me for the first movie, so it was his turn. I guess I was partially afraid that the boy would say something to his parents and that they would become suspicious of me. I have liked My Neighbor Totoro since I was a kid, so I still enjoyed the movie, but it was nowhere near as excellent as the ecstasy I was experiencing during the first film. I wonder, would you have done the same thing in my situation?
ItÂs cool that your momÂs work allows you to spend time with children. Hopefully youÂll get to see that delightful girl again someday.
