I have been told about Markaba only through 3rd-hand info.

From what I heard, I felt a lot of respect, because he outed himself, and lost a lot as a result. I don't know if the general consensus is that Markaba was as bad as you make him out to be, but I have respect for all who lose everything because of who they are.
