Markaba is one of the very few Girl Lovers I am aware of who probably meets the APA's definition of "pedophile", by virtue of his being so distressed by his attraction to children that it has had a serious, negative affected on his life. I think most of us, even though we may be torn up 'inside' continue to function under the facade of being a same-age-attracted adult. I have long argued that I am not a pedophile by the APA's definition, as I have neither acted upon my desires, nor I am distressed by them to the extent that I cannot function properly in real life.

Markaba is a smart and articulate individual, but he lacked common sense in many areas of his life. I do not think he had ever truly accepted and come to term with his attraction to little girls. While he did many good things for our "community", imho, he is neither trustworthy, nor a good representative of this community. I am not suggesting that he ever wanted to be a representative of our community, just that he would not have been a good one even if he did desire it.
