Re: think of the pyschology of a 12yo girl

I honestly feel bad about not talking to the girl when I'm in a situation like that. I know that she must hate being treated like she is beneath the notice of adults when she can probably hold a very intelligent conversation with us. But once again, I worry about the risks if I am seen being overly friendly with her. I would love to speak to her about school and other benign subjects of that nature, as I love interacting with friendly girls, but again I would hate to be accused of anything or arouse suspicion. I just don't like to initiate the conversations myself. I did speak to her briefly at one point when she said something to me (or to the group in general) and perhaps next time I will be more cordial to her. I wasn't outright rude but I did do my best to act like a typical adult who thinks that girls are beneath his notice. And again, I do feel bad about it. But with the current hysteria, I don't see any other option for me.
