Another possibility: Autism.

That girl is at about the age at which autistic behaviors start to show up. Repetitive behaviors appear in almost all autistic kids. I have known a couple of autistic kids, and that sounds exactly like behavior I would have seen from them. Shaking her head "no" in response to "hi" (misunderstanding of / unusual responses to social interactions) and hitting her dad but not ehre mother or sisters (feeling safe only around a few people, and fear and violence towards others) are very common autistic tendencies. You also mentioned "an adorable face" -- strangely, research has shown that autistic kids tend to be very beautiful.

Of course what you observed may have nothing at all to do with autism, and time will tell for this girl. I just wanted to mention it as another possible explanation of the behavior you observed.
