That's a pretty good point...

48yrs/8girls=6yrs each. Obviously for something more extreme, an offender is going to get more than 6yrs (hopefully) but at the same time, I think something like penetration with 1 minor is much more likely to risk harm to her (and society by extension) than some silly banana game with a bunch of people.

This isn't intended to encourage people to abuse multiple victims or anything but... when a teacher does something like this with a bunch of girls at once, he is WAY more likely to get caught for doing it. There are multiple witnesses who can confirm each other's story.

Inflating these HUGE sentences when a bunch of kids are there at the same time, to me that would just encourage criminals to abuse their authority in ISOLATION. To me, that's a bad direction to go in, because it's much harder to prosecute that way.

I think a difference in sentencing needs to be recognized between cumulative sentences for isolated victims over time racking up, and compounded sentences for a single incidents with a whole class like this. There needs to be something recognizing that isolating children is something much more prone to potential emotional ramifications, and I don't see anything in law that reflects this.

Guys like this, there should be consequences for doing odd things not conductive to schoolwork which is more for your own satisfaction than the children's education, but when you can potentially get a longer jail sentence for something lighthearted with a class compared to actual intercourse with a single girl, that really does create a problem, because as you've mentioned, a person has more incentive to 'go the way'.

Abnormal people start with simple things and in some cases do need to 'ramp up the thrill' and take increasing risks. It's a bad trend... and it's more likely to be quickly halted and cause less harm if they 'ramp it up' by including multiple witnesses rather than ramping up the extensiveness of the sexual activity with a single minor.
