She didn't take me seriously at first

Not used to people being kind to her; it's very sad, especially as she's clearly a very sweet girl. It's maddening that people like that get taken for granted. And you showed her the opposite - that turned it into a very heartwarming story. Thanks for sharing this:) One in the eye for the antis, too.
