Switch scenarios: There are some women at my work place who are age peers to me. I sometimes have the misfortune of sharing the break room with them during lunch. On a bad day, I get to hear them bitch and moan about their 'terrible' teenagers, their ex husbands, their financial woes (of course, we all know that they are the ONLY ones in the entire country w/ financial troubles, right ??), their problems w/ fellow co-workers and/or bosses, the insurmountable difficulties of their household chores and so forth. On a 'good' day I get to hear them them laugh as they rip apart a co-worker not in their presence (usually a younger female)
Reflecting on these situations, can anyone ELSE see just how ABNORMAL I am for wanting to talk to teenage and adolescent girls ?? I mean gee whiz, why would any NORMAL person NOT want to talk to the middle aged gals and listen to them gripe, bitch, piss and moan and/or cut down their fellow workers ?? Why am I single now instead of happily supporting one of them ?? Why would any normal man want to have a light hearted and uplifting conversation w/ a younger female ?? Isn't it 'sick' and 'deviant' to desire the company of young people when my 'peers' have so much to offer me ?? In fact, I'm taking the day off tomorrow to check myself into a psychiatric program to determine why I desire happy/uplifting
positive talk over negative/back biting/belly aching chat with my wonderful peers.
(At this point I have to close as the sarcasm is starting to drip onto me like maple syrup! ;) )
