Hey, if I'm going to be honest, in this society we're in, your offer of taking the lg out for her birthday was maybe a bit optimistic. A lot of parents feel guilty about letting their kids go out anywhere with anyone other than them - not because they think it's wrong, but because they get other parents shaking their heads & tut-tutting at them. You'd be surprised by the peer pressure parents are under!

But, no-one actually said 'no' to you. It could be that the lg's mom considers it, and decides why not, and winds up saying 'yes'.

Chai, I really do hope that this has a happy ending for you and the lg.

But whatever happens, you will still have the wonderful time that you shared with this special lg. Remember, many of the friendships that we have with lgs are but fleeting; but, they are valued on both sides just the same, and if you touch the life of a lg and make it better in anyway, even if just for a few hours, it is always very worthwhile.

Please don't focus on the possibility you might not see her again - focus on the time that you spent together, and the joy that brought you both.
