Wow yeah cool story. Maybe this girl was just a bit shy to your arrival. It may be awkward for her. I sometimes find girls treat me badly, but are surely kidding. I written about this, as how they sometimes feel they need to put up a wall for protection. Not physical protection, but like... They may feel unable to deal with being your friend and therefore may treat you badly to create some distance, and avoid their own discomfort. Often, if I stay friendly in such a situation, I have seen the girls tend to warm up to me. Think of it is stage fright.

I have also seen girls act differently in groups. In one example, two girls whom I was each individually good friends with one-on-one, when all 3 of us were together, they both pretended to hate me, or at least in a joking way. Both were about 13, but I have seen 7 or 8 year olds do the exact same thing to me. That they modeled for you sounds fun, and shows that they are comfortable and feel safe around you now. Unspecific to little girls, when in a group, such as 2 or more people, inhibitions will be less. I've also has a couple of 11 year olds do a model show before me, and then their mother walked in and asked what they were doing with my camera. Anyways, they showed shame, but they enjoyed themselves in my presence uninhibited before mother rained on the parade.
