A girl and her cousin -- a GM

Unfortunately, this girl allowed none of that. For some reason she seems to hate me. Im not really sure why. We just never connected. Part of it is that she has not really had a strong upbringing, so she has no sense of discipline or consequences for her actions. She basically gets away with anything, and as a result, she has really turned into a mean little girl. I really wanted to become friends with her, but nothing ever happened. It certainly wasnt for a lack of trying. But I realized that usually, when you actively try to force a relationship, it just drives a wedge. So I basically gave up. I just assumed nothing would ever happen and basically ignored the girl.
Well, today something strange happened. I got home, and she was at the table with her cousin. Id never seen her cousin before. She was the same age, nine years old, and both of them looked amazing. They have long jet-black hair, darker skinned, and they had these really cute outfits on. I said hello to the cousin, but again, I wasnt going to try to force any kind of friendship. I just went up to my room.
Surprisingly, they followed me. They wanted to talk about whatever nine-year-olds like to talk about -- the latest songs on the radio, their clothes, school thats about to start. It was actually pretty cool. Finally, we get to have this conversation. And if I tried to leave, they were quick to reprimand me, Dont leave. We want to talk to you. This is fun. I guess youre not a creepy guy after all.
They start talking about my own looks, and how I could look better. Then they asked if they could give me a haircut. Um... I wasnt too sure about that. I didnt want some nine-year-old messing up my hair. But I figured, why not? What better way to attempt to forge some kind of bond with these girls? So I let them. And to be honest, they did a pretty fine job. It was no professional stylists job, but the cut it well and then gelled it into a fohawk.
But most importantly, they had quite a lot of fun. The cousin mentioned, Youre fun that you let us cut your hair. My brother would never let me cut his hair.
Now, I dont for a minute think that the tide has really turned and that this girl might actually want to be friends with me now. But something she said stuck out. When I told the cousin that the girl hates me, she said, I dont really hate you. Youre not quite my friend, but youre like half a friend. I just need to find a way to relate to her. Ive honestly never had this problem before, as Ive been able to befriend pretty much every single girl Ive really talked to (parents of course are another issue). I can make friends with girls like nobodys business. But this girl has always been different. Ive never been able to relate to her. But now, maybe, just maybe, something is different.
At the end of the night, as we were getting ready for bed, they put on their pajamas and then modeled them for me, as only a nine-year-old can. God, I just about died.
