I am glad you decided to start posting. The more insightful contributors we can get here, the better the community will be.

You are indeed lucky that you can share your sexual orientation with your friends and family. I feel fairly confident I will never be able to do so. My uncle made an interesting comment to me today. He said, “you’re the only grown man I know that would enjoy a little girl’s softball game who is not a pervert.” It took me a little off guard. I don’t really consider myself to be a pervert, but I am confident my uncle wouldn’t appreciate the distinction between pervert and pedophile. He would instantly hate me if I revealed my true self to him. It sucks that the people I love will never know and love me for who I am.
