I guess it's more than a GM, really

I got to thinking about this: I don't know why, but I've come to use the label GM for all my girl experiences. But a GM is a 'girl moment,' implying something fleeting. It's the language that's appealing--'girl moment' is something brief but special. Still, what I have with Mary is much, much more than that, but I don't know what else to call it. A relationship, sure, but not quite a romantic one, obviously. Yet more than a friendship. What should we call this? Our relationships with children are something unique, because they are akin to romantic relationships but they cannot be labeled exactly as such, since one of the key elements of romance--sexual union--is missing. Undoubtedly there's a sexual element to it though, or else we wouldn't any of us be here, would we? Any suggestions on a name for these special relationships we have with our girls? I shall try to come up with something myself, but suggestions are welcome.
