Towards a better future

Should Kirsten someday be in the role of helping children to learn, grow, and discover the world, there is a good chance she'll look back on her own experiences with her parents, and on her memories with you, and guide them in exercising the level of self-determination that they are capable of and deserve.

I hope the same will be true of my former sweetheart as a future parent. This kind of thing (over-controlling parents) seems prevalent enough that there might be a generational swing -- it seems to go back and forth every couple of decades.

But there is still much time after this summer, and I am sure you have many wonderful experiences with Kirsten yet to come!
