Their lives

Their lives transect ours for durations not of our choosing. We are reminded time and again that their lives are not their own, but are jostled by the forces imposed by adults.

It hurts them and it hurts those of us who care about them as beautiful people; not potential people.

Further, the antis should know that absences not-by-choice only inflame passion.

But when something genuine passes between two beloved, it makes them both better people and leaves a permanent trace.
