Pole dancing and Portuguese food

While I was away on holiday last month, my friend and I ditched my family for a while so that we could have lunch in peace. She and I decided to go to a place we'd seen for a few years, but never gone to; the thing that changed our minds was a big banner out front that read "FISH TACOS." :D To her, it sounded delicious, to me, it sounded hilarious. :p

We decided to share everything (as usual) we ordered. This leads to people thinking we're boyfriend/girlfriend, but I don't really care about that. We ordered (of course) the fish tacos, clam fritters, Portuguese kale soup, and a huge ice-cream smoothie. Everything was prepared fresh, so we had a bit of a wait ahead of us. I had no idea there was going to be a show, too. XD

All the seating at the place was outside, under an awning supported by somewhat sturdy metal poles. We took a picnic table towards the edge of the tent, but still in the shade, and waited for our order to be made. Meanwhile, the table behind us was getting impatient. It was a mom, dad, and three little girls - now, I only noticed them because they were sitting so close; I'm really a BoyLover at heart. :p

The lasses were around two, four, and six years old. As the weather was hot, they were in shorts (the oldest in white short-shorts) and random pink or purple t-shirts. All three had golden-blonde hair and bright blue eyes, though the youngest's hair was cropped short, so her curls only reached her ears. The parents weren't paying attention to anything but being annoyed that their food wasn't ready yet. This left the youngest to lounge against her father's lap and the two elder to their own devices.

The oldest girl decided she would swing around on the tent's support poles. This was mildly distracting for me, but not too much. It wasn't until she started doing pole dancing moves that I really faltered in my conversation with my friend at our table. The oldest sister was grinding her way up and down the pole, dangling by one leg and one arm at times, and doing all kinds of other sensual moves. My jaw hit the table as her four year old sister went to another pole and emulated her pretty damned well. If I was a GirlLover, I probably would have fainted. All I could think (besides "Holy crap, that's CRAZY.") was "If they were boys I think I'd pass out." XD

The father looked over when the oldest said "Look daddy! Look at what I can do!" Amazingly, he let them caper on like that until their food came. If only all of the U$A were so liberal.

Blessed Be.
