Feminists and Pseudofeminists

I agree with all of this. There's a wide variety of philosophies that fall under the feminist label, but classical feminism was about equality for men and women. There's a branch of feminism that is really antithetical to the whole concept of equal rights for males and females--for example, they support the censorship of (adult) porn on the grounds that it dehumanizes women, but they are therefore removing the woman's right to participate in porn if she so chooses. Thus, they are pseudofeminists in my estimation--you can't be pro-female rights and anti-female rights at the same time, and the feminist badge they wear is really just a modern incarnation of the oppressive anti-sex social conservative which has its roots squarely in Western religion.

Funny: these same people at GC and BC who have no problem smearing everyone represented under the feminist banner without worrying about the finer distinctions are also the ones who tend to quibble endlessly over the various incarnations of 'liberal' and 'conservative'.
