For a while now, I've wanted to comment on this sigpic of yours.

I realize it used to be a common thing for artists to do these armless sculptures of people. But I have to say: I get chills every time I see this. It looks like an amputee; veeeeeeeeeery morbid and gruesome looking.

I know you might try and explain the logic as to why this art trend ever began. But whatever the claimed reason is, It will not change the feeling these sights give me, or even keep me from calling the trend "distasteful" or even perhaps "curious/suspicious". After all; there must be a better format of creating an upper body sculpture of a person without making them look like an amputee. Maybe it wouldn't look so awful if I was physically standing before the piece. But in a photograph like it is, it looks a lot like an amputee. Chills......

No offense to you, Dante. And this is not a case of me posting "for effect". This is something that's been on my mind ever since I first saw the sigpic.
