Though ( to play Devil's Advocate ) it should be pointed out that the academic Feminists ( who are more separatist and blame-the-Patriarchy ) have the most traction on campuses and in getting legislation passed.

In this case its not "anti-Feminists" who've dragged the hard work of the Suffragettes through the mud, its a very successful group of their successors who've campaigned against men and against male sexuality ( often with the help of the anti-sex factions on the Right. )

Dworkin and MacKinnon et al have fought to have their ideas labeled as "Feminism." Its up to those who wish to link the original vision to the term to retake the term, rather than to retreat from it. But since the "Feminazis" have the campuses and the courts, it will be difficult for the direct heirs of the Suffragettes to retake the term.
