No different than any other kind of relationship.

Except that ( barring fraud ) when "consenting adults" sour on a relationship long after the fact, they don't have any legal tools to punish their partner for what both said they wanted at the time.

Looking at the high rate of bitter divorces; imagine what they could do if time and hindsight nullified consent?
