True crypt can be pretty good. It's like a razor that is useful, yet dangerous if used wrong. What I learned, was if you did anything advanced with TrueCrypt you have to backup all your data and then make configurations and changes. Also what I learned is if you sell your computer, the advice is to leave the contents locked, and delete the key file, and use restore feature. That is very useful. But I don't store my important files on my PC anyway. If you don't want to spend alot of time drive wiping.. just make a new volume with a looonng random passcode (40 or more characters should do). Even if they stumble on it.. it will appear as jibberish. Even though I had a scary experience with encryption, it's still worth some hacker NOT getting your goods. But if anyone wants to know about encryption (it's very important, now that almost every spook wants to have your vital information) like Griffth said, should learn beginners manual. I have to master encryption techniques so I can feel more secure. Don't be afaid to learn this security feature.

Cheers!!
