But please note how our culture gives conflicting information to females of all ages. On the one hand, it tells them that freedom of expression is a good thing; on the other hand, it simultaneously tells them that sexual expression is negative and a sign of bad morals, low self-esteem, a desperate need for attention, etc. I would personally rather see a girl dress in revealing clothing and show how proud she is of being gifted with such a beautiful body to get attention than to act out in other ways, such as stealing, starting fires, acting miserable to everyone in her vicinity, bullying others, joining a street gang, etc. But I'm not sure our society would agree with me on that, considering our culture's hero worship of soldiers who drop bombs on foreign civilian populations filled with kids, yet consider it immoral for a young girl to show any more skin than is necessary when she dresses. It shows us where our true priorities lie, which is scary enough that it should convince any thinking person to question much of our society's conventional wisdom.

We even tell adult women that a good sex drive is normal and healthy, but then we also call women who openly enjoy sex "sluts" and "whores." These confusing messages distort our thinking and betray the equal degree of love and hate our society has for sexuality, a society that on one hand wants to grow up and accept this wondrous gift of nature, but on the other hand cannot fully shake the moralizing and judgemental paradigms of the past that have become so entrenched. And this again proves how people who purport not to be religious can hold onto sacrosanct moralizing beliefs with a fervor equal to any diehard Jesus freak out there who believes homosexuality is evil or that pre-marital sex is inherently wrong.

Btw, hopscotch and playtimes still exist now. So do tea parties and skating parties. Little girls haven't abandoned them in favor of looking sexy. They are simply being bolder in sexual expression these days, which creates the illusion that this is a "new" thing, just as many heterosexuals during the 1930s believed they didn't personally know any homosexuals--and many, many teleiophiles today falsely believe they do not personally know any MAAs (i.e., Minor Attracted Adults - pedophiles or hebephiles). Young girls have always wanted to look sexy; they just did so in different ways in the past, much as adult women also do today.
