Not really Diss, I just think it is as likely delusional as many other beliefs.
Understood. I can believe you agree that the majority is not always correct in essence, but that you might consider them always "right" by default. The thing is, in a constitutional democracy, the majority do not hold the equivalent of ownership to that society. Minority groups are given certain inalienable rights--at least in writing, they are supposed to.
There are also many who do have much experience in this subject and who apperently do side with the consensus view.
As I have said before, this is something that is to be expected when you have grown up bombarded with the consensus view, and rarely if ever saw any alternative view, your entire life or a large portion thereof. Also, many people are afraid to openly oppose or contradict the consensus view on particularly hot button topics for strictly political reasons, something has been the case with regards to many different subjects that were once similarly hot button issues in past eras.
Me? hostility? Erm, the mods might like to reiterate to the brain-dead that this is a free forum. Did I ever abuse another poster first?
If you read what I typed more carefully, you will see that I wasn't referring to your specifically, and in fact was implying that you do not behave this way, which is why you are welcome here.
Well, we can agree on something as I too would like to see a more understanding approach to this subject but fear that what GC represents is not what will be seen as typifying (sexual) attraction to children so the ball is mostly in your court - unless you think that is not something that is amenable to change!
I think our approach to the subject and treatment of others in public is more important, in the long run, than our views, and this is something I have disputed with certain other posters here who feel that how we conduct ourselves in public doesn't or shouldn't matter, that all Nons are to be considered antis and treated with contempt, etc. Establishing our basic humanity, and proving that we are more than capable being good people. I found that this is more than possible if you are not in the closet to people who love and respect you, despite the risk this can bring to people depending on their personal circumstances.
