OK, perhaps we should leave it at that. The incident showed something to me anyway - I was not even aware how the little girl viewed me before she ran up to me after I had been away. Her parents and myself saw it as so cute and endearing for the girl to express herself that way since I had not been paying that much attention (playing with her etc.) other than reading with her. It was the first time she had used my name also.
