Well it had me baffled. If she had actually said anything I would have stopped and listened but she just grinned and waved. What made it a bit more difficult was that she was actually the spitting image of a girl I had known at school and with whom I had had a very brief relationship. This was decades ago so perhaps she was the girl's daughter come to haunt me! Not that she could have been my daughter since we never got anywhere near to that kind of intimacy, lol.

One possibility was that there was some involvement with the boys. I recognised one of them - he had called out to me once whilst passing, as boys sometimes do, and perhaps he had said something like I was an easy touch for money or else he knew I had attractions to girls. That was the worst scenario that I had imagined - that she actually wanted to initiate a relationship with an older person whom she knew was attracted to young girls. Unlikely since I don't think she had seen me before and I don't rate myself that highly.
