This is a big problem for me; and it's also with pro siders who favor test systems.

There never is a good reason to not presume autonomy as default and proceed to refute autonomy if needed. Arguments against autonomy in the legal system are just pretexts to do what otherwise would be impossible: lock up an old relative against their consent, justify slavery, leave off the hook young offenders, take the beggars off the streets, or lock out of public jail those offenders so offensive they make society uncomfortable.

Well, no. People (and for that matter all living beings) are autonomous. That we do not understand or share their motivations, doesn't mean they don't have them. The assumption of non-autonomy is an assumption of non-personhood and treatment of the person as a thing. I want to believe that I could defend this even if I wasn't a pedophile, because it certainly ranks very high in my values.

As I see it there is such a disparity in abilities, personalities, circumstances and cultural background apart from how children are raised as to make the issue of consent not amenable to anything other than what occurs at the moment - a presumed protection for all children affected by those particular laws.

Porn is not about reality. Almost by definition, porn is fantasy. It represents what people think about not what people really do. You must have noticed porn women tend to be much more attractive than women in real life; and except for specialist porn, much less fat, much more boobed and much more fake tanned and tattooed than women in real life. You must have noticed porn gay men are way more attractive (and hung) than men, gay or not, in real life. You must have noticed people in porn are horny all the time and dress more revealingly all the time and agree to sex with strangers all the time - where is the reality in any of that? The presence of anal sex in porn cannot be interpreted as any more real than any of the above.

As for hatred of females, yes, that must be why there's so much "lesbian" porn for heterosexual men produced, and one man two women threesomes with the same idea, or scenes where two "lesbians" suddenly start having sex with the man who appears. Yes, that is soooooooooo hateful of females...

Porn caters to every taste, no doubt about that, and I haven't done a definitive statistical analysis but from what I have seen I would hate to think it did in fact relate to reality rather than fantasy but I fear many will not see it that way. Kids apparently have raped younger kids and viewing porn has been seen as one of the contributing factors.

Anti-pedophilia began in the USA, and has expanded outward from the USA. Europe is now following along (took some threatening, but Europeans don't have the spine to resist the USA); but it is the USA pushing the anti-pedophilia agenda worldwide.

For the reasons I cited in one of your first threads, I don't think the First World would be very pro at this age anyway; but the full War on Children is an American invention, an American export, and although no front is too small, it has to be defeated in America if it is going to be defeated in the world.

OK, I might be wrong here since I don't know the history so I'll have to come back on that later perhaps.
