"Impose sexual attraction" is an oxymoron.

Imposition is an action taken towards another. And sexual attraction is the recognition of a feeling within oneself.

For the truly shy, its possible to go through life with constant sexual attractions that nobody else will ever be aware of. How is that an imposition?

Desires are not the same as actions.

Of course the religious like to argue otherwise, but really, you cannot commit "adultery in your heart." Adultery must involve other organs and another participant.

Conflating desire and action is a cop-out. Its a cop out for those who say that we are "ticking time bombs" who can't help ourselves, and its a cop out for the abusers they create by convincing Peds that their desires mean that they can't help it when they act out.

The goal here is thought control. Which isn't entirely possible. But it is possible to create creatures so afraid of their own shadows that everytime something stirs a sentiment, they rush to say, "that's not me feeling these things."

Creating a war within ( to not think the thought that one mustn't think ) is a way of creating paralysis, not of fostering morality, nor of promoting better actions. And in fighting such an impossible battle, the thoughts and feelings take on a power they would never have otherwise.
