Ah, the city. I venture there from time to time. Probably not the same one you happen to be talking about. I love seeing young girls in the city when I go, though. A few months ago I went into the city with a friend of mine as a sort of spur of the moment thing. As we both enjoy decent microbrew, we went to a new beer release at a favorite pub of ours. It was a nice evening so we sat at an outside table and talked about what I remember being mostly science fiction over a few beers. Then from my seat I saw two beautiful girls who were probably 10 or 11, one blonde, the other with a sort of dusty brown hair. They were wearing frumpy sweatshirts and very short shorts and were hovering over a pair of cell phones as they walked past me, nearly burshing my shoulder without noticing. I had apparently cut myself off mid-sentense as they passed and froze up staring off into space which is typical of me. My friend noticed and asked with a grin if I was ok because it looked like I had just `stared into the abyss`. I just laughed it off.

Another time, I went into the city with a different friend to browse some thrift stores and get some dinner at a vegan place he likes so much (I am not vegan, but hell, good food is good food). We managed to find a place to park and while standing there on the street waiting for some machine to activate (an ATM he was at or something), I saw a girl who was probably about 8 years old walking hand in hand with who i assumed was her mother. She had very long light chestnut brown hair and was wearing a catholic school uniform complete with cute pink backpack. Again, they had walked right past me. I was leaning against the wall and the girl walked by very close to me to the point where I could smell her hair. I again felt the need to freeze up, but brought myself to look at her again after she had walked by and to my suprise she had turned around and was walking backward while looking back in my direction. Our eyes met for a second and she smiled before turning back around quickly and running ahead of the woman she was walking with.
