Some of you may have heard me talk about my young female cousin(15). Recently, my aunt(her grandmother) passed away unexpectedly. I went to the house to see the family the next day. When I arrived, most of the family was there including the grandkids. When she saw me, her eyes welled with tears. We've always been very close. My heart broke at the sight of this crying young girl. I wanted nothing more than to take he pain away. I opened my arms wide and she came over to a great big longer than usual hug. We talked for a few minutes about normal stuff and eventually she relaxed. We sat together, with her often sitting in my lap, for the rest of the evening.

While I love every chance to see her, I wish it wasn't this way but I'm glad I can be there for her.
