How do you deal with the social stigma?

I am an 18 year old male who is primarily attracted to little girls, and it makes me feel really terrible that if people knew who I really was, they would want to hurt me or never talk to me again and see me as some kind of insane, dangerous deviant, all because of an involuntary chemical reaction in my brain. Even though I've never done anything remotely sexual with children, a huge portion of the population, possibly a majority would gladly see me killed or imprisoned, or marked like the Jews in the Third Reich.

And the worst part? The worst part is that what exactly you have to hide is in its essence a feeling of intense love and affection for another human being. What a horrible and rotten situation to be in. How do you deal with this? Is it even possible to? Unfortunately, I don't think there is.
