The implication that all attractions have to be acted upon is rape apology.

Dante has even given at other times an example that doesn't involve any non-normative sexuality. "Non" adults are attracted to other "non" adults all the time when one or both are married not to each other. That is an attraction that, for a variety of reasons, is best not acted upon. Not just as sex, but not even as flirting and grooming.
